Dear Jim Crumb,
I've been wanting to write you for about a year now, but I kept thinking I had more time. I'm sorry for not taking the chance to encourage you and thank you when I could.
Thank you (and Libby) for discipling my mom right after she got saved and for letting us spend so much time with your family. Thank you for strongly advising mom to cut ties with Jeff (my bio dad) when I was three. I truly believe, knowing Jeff like I do now, that it was one of the best things to ever happen to me. I would not be the person that I am today were he to have had a strong/regular influence in my life. Thank you for watering my mother with the Word and encouraging her in her walk. Thank you for always being kind to me and for encouraging your sons to do likewise... although they did frequently chase me around trying to look up my skirts. :)
Thank you, Jim, for being a God fearing, God honoring man. Thank you for for your generosity and for sharing your faith. In your battle with cancer thank you for being a man of courage, faithfulness, and prayer. I'm so happy for you that you are in a better place, Jim.
