always your biggest fan

the twins and i got into a bit of a cat fight yesterday. it involved Sharon starting it by biting me (yes, she's fourteen) and then it turning into a free for all of flying bodies and screeching females. i came out of it with the bite mark and scratches ALL OVER and the twins are both missing patches of hair. :) it was a fun little workout.
the family reunion was very nice as was the bowling with Dad, Erik, and Alison and breaking into my parents house. the flat tire would have been very unenjoyable without my stud of a boyfriend who took care of everything.:) (feel free to start puking everyone :)
my midterm is on wednesday night so i guess i should start studying for that...

Jude 24

tonight i got a flat tire taking erik into the city. being the stud that he is, he quickly had the spare on and we were on our way... on our way back to the suburbs! oh, well. a man chooses his ways, but the Lord directs His steps. here is a snippet from a conversation that i had with dale tonight that shows clearly my automotive ignorance:

Ambre: so, if i buy a tire erik can just put it on, right?
Dale: are you kidding me?
Ambre: no.
Dale: well, i guess he could put it on as an article of clothing, maybe!

objective: go to sleep. action plan: close eyes and count sheep!

so i looked at one of my friend's blogs yesterday for the first time and found out that he now has a son. i didn't even know his wife was preggers! i guess being friends for over a decade doesn't get you anywhere anymore. :) congrats to him anyway. way cute baby.
this weekend i get to take care of adeline and kjirstin from friday morning to sunday night. i'm pretty excited. i just hope i don't sleep through them needing me for anything! i can sleep pretty light when i know someone could need something or might call.
i found a copy of the Moral Compass for $1.00 today. I love that book! I highly recommend it to anyone who values instilling morals in the next generation or enjoys personal conviction and encouragement. the Book of Virtues is really good for those things as well...
freya is a tightly wound ball of spazz lately. she did a backwards body slam into erik last night while on a walk. i think she saw a rabbit. she could kill somebody though.
have a great day, all!

note to dad: tell mom that john goering had a kid. thanks.
note to Wagner: i'll answer you in person if i don't get around to posting it in the next couple of weeks. i'm not ignoring you!

i am sacrificing a shower for this...

So guess what? I went to the doctor to get blood drawn on Friday, showed the NP my foot and three x-rays later, was informed that I had, in fact, broken it. Ha! I feel so justified now. I was feeling like such a wuss for limping and not being able to put weight on the balls of my foot due to a bruise, but now that I know it's due to a fracture, all is, once again, well in the world. :)
I finally have been given the lead teacher position at work: hello, 50 cent raise. Of course these things come with strings attached such as a 6 month contract and another review at that point which no one else has ever had. Oh, the trials that come with being beautiful!
I got to share the gospel with a friend at work today. I was really excited because she is moving to Chicago in a week and I had really wanted an opportunity to do this. I just wish Amanda had been there! It started as a result of talking about Erik and I's relationship and the reason we do things the way we do and branched out into her asking a lot of questions about our church, our beliefs, and what I personally think about tough issues. I was personally encouraged because a lot of what I said I wouldn't have said three months ago even just because God hadn't shown me the answers yet. The one thing she asked me that I got excited about was "How, if God is a loving God can he let people go to hell, especially if they haven't heard about Him?" I personally struggled with this one for over a decade before God showed me the answer last month through something Max Lucado wrote. She told me that my response was the only good one she's ever heard and she's asked a lot of believers. Praise the Lord!
Have a good night kids...

toe pick!

tomorrow we're off for chicago! yeah! it makes me so happy inside to be in illinois for any length of time or reason. it's kinda along the lines of being easily amused.
i dropped a chair on my foot on tuesday. a hard plastic kiddie one at work. it left a silver dollar sized bruise on my foot that goes down between my big toe and the one next to it (does that toe even have a name?). this makes wearing flip flops (my summer staple) nearly impossible. sigh. i can't wait to be able to put full pressure on the balls of my feet again. :)
there was a breakfast club honoring thingy on the mtv movie awards tonight. those people look GOOD for their age! i love that movie...
well, even though i'm off tomorrow, i still need to be up by seven, so good-night!

bilbo, the ferret, always bites me.

hi.
how's everyone doing?
freya is not too happy with the fact that i have a roommate now. she decided the proper punishment would be to eat my favorite shoe. alas...
it was so beautiful outside yesterday. i got to go with adeline to her gymnastics class. i'm always amazed that i get paid to hang out with the cutest two year old in the states. lucky me! :)
it looks like erik and i will be going to chicago for the theophostic training sessions the weekend of the eleventh. that should work well with my mother's schedule. jackie myers was talking to my mom at church the other day and when she relayed their conversation to me i got so homesick! here is a poem i just wrote about my mother:

i love my mom.
i love talking to my mom.
i love laughing with/at my mom.
i love my mom.

yep, now that's quality!
